Nuclear powered submarine
Derby comprises of two nuclear licensed sites at Raynesway: the nuclear fuel manufacturing site where fuel for the Navy’s nuclear powered submarines is manufactured and the Neptune / Radioactive Components Facility site where the Neptune reactor is used to develop submarine reactor designs.
