Sizewell
There are two adjacent nuclear power station sites at Sizewell:
- Sizewell A;
- Sizewell B.
Sizewell A
Sizewell A comprises of two Magnox reactors that generated electricity from 1966 until 2006. Defuelling of the twin reactors commenced in 2009 and is scheduled for completion in 2013.

Sizewell A Magnox power station
Sizewell B
Sizewell B is the only Pressurised Water Reactor (PWR) power station in the UK and is the last nuclear power station built in the UK. It started generating electricity in 1995 and is expected to remain operational until 2035.
