- Hunterston B.
Hunterston A Magnox power station
Hunterston A
Hunterston A comprises of two Magnox reactors that generated electricity from 1964 until 1990. Defuelling of the twin reactors was completed in1995

Hunterston B comprises of two operating Advanced Gas-Cooled Reactors (AGR) that became operational in 1976 and 1977. It is expected that the station will continue generating electricity up to 2016.
