Joint event for potential suppliers

Supply Chain Event, November 2011The NDA and its SLCs are once again collaborating to organise a joint event for existing and potential suppliers.   

To be held in Bolton, Lancashire, on 22 November, the event will provide opportunities for new and existing businesses, both small and large, to hold informal face-to-face discussions with all the Site Licence Companies (SLCs), major contractors and other suppliers. 

Last year's inaugural event, also at the de Vere Whites Hotel, attracted 450 delegates and followed a series of workshops looking at possible measures to support Small and Medium Sized Enterprises seeking decommissioning opportunities. 

Senior figures from UK Government, the NDA and the SLCs will also outline their vision for the supply chain and we will again be seeking the support of our major contractors.   

The possiblity of free exhibition stands and 'Meet the Buyer' sessions are being explored to allow for discussion of potential contract opportunities.  Details of how to register will be available closer to the date. 

The NDA, meanwhile, is simplifying its sub-contract flowdown requirements to make it less onerous for suppliers contracting within the NDA estate, and raising the level at which the flowdowns apply from £50,000 to £150,000.
