The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority

 

The NDA's Direct Research Portfolio (DRP) is currently being re-competed. The DRP is the NDA's strategic R&D portfolio and involves Research & Development (R&D) that informs the development of NDA's strategy, develops innovative decommissioning and clean-up technology and supports the development of key technical skills fundamental to the NDA's decommissioning mission.

The re-competition has been advertised widely including in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), on the Government's Contract Finder and on the NDA's website. Four Framework Contracts are available:

• University interactions
• Integrated waste management
• Site restoration
• Spend fuel and nuclear materials

Research Manager Darrell Morris said:

"We have already been contacted by many organisations and institutions. I am particularly pleased that so many organisations will be attending our Supplier Information Day on 18th October. The closing date for submission of the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire isn't until 28th October so there are still opportunities for more organisations to express an interest."
