Future Plans
This section provides a brief description of the Wylfa site as outlined in the NDA's strategy.
The scope, schedule and cost of work needed to decommission the sites are reviewed annually by the NDA and its contractors during the Lifetime Plan (LTP) review process.
Site End States
| Current plans are for the site to be completely cleared of all buildings and structures, the site area excavated to 1 metre below ground level and backfilled and the entire site re-graded and planted to match the surrounding area. Land drains will be installed where necessary. The area will then be classified as a "brownfield site" i.e. land on which development has previously taken plance. |
