Sellafield Ltd PBO Competition

Final bids for the Sellafield Parent Body Organisation (PBO) Competition were received from four bidders on the 7 April 2008 and these are currently being evaluated. The NDA expects to announce the preferred bidder in July 2008.
After the announcement of the preferred bidder, and following a mandatory 10-day standstill period, the NDA and preferred bidder will complete contract finalisation pending a final decision on contract award, which is expected in October 2008. The formal transfer of the Site Licence Company (SLC) shares to the new Parent Body occurs after contract award and following completion of a structured transition process. This is expected to take place before the end of the year.
The four bidders who have submitted final tenders are:
- CH2MHill Nuclear Services Ltd.
- Fluor Limited in partnership with Toshiba
- SBB Nuclear, consisting: Serco, Bechtel and Babcock & Wilcox
- Nuclear Management Partners Ltd, consisting: Washington International Holdings Ltd., AMEC and AREVA NC
