Geological Disposal Consultation Workshop (engagement and communications, and sustainability and environmental assessment)

As part of our consultation on issues associated with the geological disposal facility we held a two-day workshop.
This report records the main discussion points from the two day workshop it is structured to reflect the agenda of the workshop. It outlines issues raised during the discussion groups that took place and in the plenary sessions.
Day 1
The first day concentrated on our proposed public and stakeholder engagement and communications framework.
Day 2
The second day included debate and discussion around the questions posed in our consultation document on a framework for sustainability appraisal and environmental assessment.
The workshop was primarily aimed at:
- Consultation bodies
- Regulators
- Local authorities interested in geological disposal
- Non-Governmental Organisations
