We welcome the Environment Agency report that scrutinises our work related to geological disposal. This report looks at our work in 2008/09 and presents the Environment Agency's plans for 2009/10. It has been produced as part of an agreement between the Environment Agency and our Radioactive Waste Management Directorate.

The report provides evidence that we are working closely together, in an open and transparent manner that allows all stakeholders to have access not only to our work, but also to the scrutiny of that work. We continue to work to address the issues raised in this report.
