NDA Statement in Response to Daily Mirror Story Regarding Direct Rail Services

Direct Rail Services (DRS) is a rail transportation company which was transferred to Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) ownership in April 2005.
The company provides rail transport services for nuclear materials in the UK and is licensed to perform its duties by independent regulators.
We are obviously very concerned to hear of allegations that security requirements have not been met. We understand that the security regulator OCNS, will be conducting an investigation and we await the outcome of that investigation. The NDA places safety and security as its highest priority and we will be conducting our own separate investigation.
