Directions to NDA in respect of the Dounreay Disposal Facility
Under the 2004 Energy Act, directions are the method by which the Secretary of State gives the NDA responsibility to carry out its principal function. The directions therefore identify what the NDA is to be responsible for and what it has to do in respect of (the designated site for which the direction refers).

Dounreay Stakeholder Group Website
The Dounreay Stakeholder Group (DSG) is an independent body whose role is to provide public scrutiny of the Dounreay site, by providing an active, two-way channel of communication between the site operators, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and local stakeholders. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) site Vulcan is also part of remit of the DSG.
