Publication of NDA contract documentation

In accordance with the Government's commitment on Transparency, the NDA is committed to publish all new contracts (including framework agreements and resulting contracts) for the supply of goods, services and works issued from 1st January 2011. This requirement is not retrospective so does not apply to contracts that have already been let prior to 1st January 2011, with the exception of ICT contracts. A minimum threshold value of £10,000 has been set for contract disclosure.

Tenders and contracts will be published on 'Contracts Finder', which will be available from 11th February 2011. Contracts Finder is the government's single platform providing access to public sector procurement related information and documentation, including the facility to publish both tender and contract documents in a single place.

Certain redactions may be required prior to publication in order to protect certain types of information which may be considered exempt from publication. Redactions of contractual text are permitted in line with the exemptions set out by the Freedom of Information Act.

Suppliers should be aware of and understand these requirements with regards to publishing contracts and the implications this will have.
