The Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change Edward Davey has appointed a new Non-Executive Director to the NDA’s Board following Alistair Wivell’s completion of his four-year term in office.

The NDA has announced that Dr Ian Hudson, its Head of Programme for Sellafield has decided to leave the authority and pursue his career with American corporation URS in the United States.

Our People
We employ around 200 people. In addition to expertise from the nuclear industry, these people bring skills from engineering, finance, the civil service and consultancy.
The NDA Board
- sets out the strategic framework and direction within which the NDA operates; and
- is responsible for ensuring high standards of corporate governance are observed.
The day to day management of the NDA is delegated by the Board to the Executive, comprising the Chief Executive Officer and other Directors.
NDA Board Members
The Secretary of State for the Department of Energy and Climate Change in consultation with the Scottish Ministers appoints the Chairman of the Board.
The Board consists of six non-executive directors, including the Chairman, and three executive directors including the Chief Executive.

NDA Board Meetings
The NDA Board meets six times per year. There are no meetings in August or December.
