What are the definitions of site clearance, decommissioning and clean up?
Site clearance means removing all the buildings and facilities from a site. It might also include ground remediation where soil has been contaminated radiologically or by other agents. Decommissioning is the process related to decontaminating and removing buildings or other structures; and clean up is concerned with ground remediation of contaminated land. Site clearance is, therefore, a combination of decommissioning and clean up.
